Overview

The UPH Surabaya Industrial Engineering Department (School of Creative Industry) has concentrate on the area of “Technology Management” combined with understanding of creative industries. The curriculum is designed to prepare students to become professional engineers in a global industry as well as a creative industry through theory and practical work. It covers machine systems, production and inventory systems, operational and technology management, and integrated company information.

To be a educational body in creative industry that is well known internationally in various aspects based on science, faith, and character to glorify God.

Uniqueness

Industrial Engineering Department at Universitas Pelita Harapan Surabaya have a distinctive orientation towards “Creative Industry”. Its graduates will have capabilites to integrate all the resources in the system (machines, computers, people, etc) while solving problems in Industry as well as creative industries.

The Program

Industrial Engineering has evolved as a major engineering and management discipline, the effective utilization of which has contributed to our increased standard of living through increased productivity, quality of work and quality of services, and improvements in the working environments. The aim of this Department to prepare graduates to make substantial contributions to the companies, government, and society through services as Industrial Engineers by demonstrating unsurpassed integrity and complex problem-solving capability.

Objectives

To become a graduate’s capacity in providing students with

  • Ever-expanding toolbox to help corporations be successful than ever before.
  • Useful methodologies for achieving increased productivity and quality, competitiveness, globalization of business and for increasing the quality of working life in manufacturing and service industries.

Technology Management

Technology Management studies the management side of software-driven industrial fields, and human resources-related management. A number subjects like Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP), Logistic and Supply Chain Management, Decision Support System are taught in Technology Management.
