Prof. Adrianus Mooy, M. Sc., Ph.D. - Rector
Prof. Adrianus Mooy, M.Sc., Ph.D., joined UPH Karawaci in April 2007 as Senior Advisor. In June 2010 he served briefly as Dean of the Business School and since September 2010 he has been serving as Rector of UPH Surabaya. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Gajah Mada and then obtained his Master’s of Science degree in Economics/Finance and Ph.D. in Economics/Econometrics from the University of Wisconsin, USA. He had been teaching economics at University of Indonesia since 1966 for about 20 years and obtained his professorship in economics in 1987. He also served, among others, as Deputy Chairman for the National Development Planning Agency/Bappenas (1973-1988), Governor of Bank Indonesia (1988-1993), Ambassador to the European Union (1993-1995) and Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations/ Executive Secretary of United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific/ UN-ESCAP 1995-2000).
Dr. (Hon) Jonathan L. Parapak, M.Eng.Sc - The President
Dr. (Hon) Jonathan L. Parapak, M.Eng.Sc. is a graduate from the University of Tasmania, Australia, and was awarded an Honorary Doctor from Ouachita Baptist University. He has an extensive experience in business and government services. He was the President, CEO, and Chairman of Indosat. Dr. Parapak served as a Secretary General of the Department of Tourism, Post, Telecommunication; a member of the National Council of Research. Joining UPH in 2001, he was then appointed as the President and Rector of UPH in 2006.
Prof. Louie Divinagracia, M.Sc., DBA - Vice President For Academic Affair
Prof. Louie A. Divinagracia is currently Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dean of the Faculty of Business. He concurrently holds other university positions at Universitas Pelita Harapan Surabaya such as the Head of the Master of Management Program, Head of the University Research & Community Service Office, and Head of the International Relations Office. He has over 30 years of academic, research, action research, and project management experience in Southeast Asian developing economies. He was Full Professor, Department Head, Director for Business Affairs and Special Assistant to the Chancellor (Los Banos campus), and Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration (Open University campus) at the University of the Philippines. He was also Director for Academic Programs and Research; and Head of the MBA and DBA Study Programs at the Graduate School of Business of De La Salle University. He mentored students from the U.S.A., Indonesia, China (including Taiwan), Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Korea, and Sri Lanka; coordinated continuing education programs of professionals from Nepal and Bangladesh; and organized and managed study visits of undergraduate students from Australia, and graduate students from the U.S. He has written over a hundred technical papers presented in scientific meetings and conferences, and published a number of these in ISSI/refereed research journals and refereed indexed conference proceedings. An active member of the Academy of International Business and a Fellow of the Salzburg Global Fellowship, he has also served as a Consultant/ Specialist of several development projects funded by the Asian Development Bank, World Bank, the E.U. and USAID, among others.
Dr. Ir. Januar Heryanto, MS, MBA - Vice President For Finance & Administration
Dr. Heryanto joined UPH in June 2007. He was significantly involved in establishing UPH Surabaya as one of the constituent campuses of the UPH System. Starting out as Director of Development during the formative phase of the UPH Surabaya campus, he was eventually appointed as Vice President for Finance & Administration in 2008. His positions in Academic Affairs included Dean of the Faculty of Psychology (2008-2010), and Dean of Faculty of Liberal Arts (2010-2011). He has earned degrees from UNIBRAW (Ir. in Mechanical Engineering); UKSW in co-operation with Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and IPB (MS in Development Studies); and UNTAG Surabaya (Doctor in Economic Science). Moreover, he has completed his Professional Development Program at the West Coast Institute of Management and Technology (MBA-Marketing). He has worked in both the business sector and education sector for over 25 years, and has served in various positions that includes Vice President of a multinational corporation, and Academic Dean and Vice Rector, among others.
Koentjoro Angkawidjaja, S.H., MAT - Vice President of Student Affairs and Spiritual Formation
Koentjoro Angkawidjaja, S.H., MAT joined Universitas Pelita Harapan Surabaya on September 2010 as lecturer for the subject of Worldview and Biblical Interpretation. He graduated from the Law School of Universitas Airlangga in Surabaya, majoring in Law and Development with the concentration of Administrative and Constitutional Law, class 1988 and graduated in 1993. Afterward he embarked on life journey in business world. He has wide experience in businesses before returning to education in 2007 by enrolling in graduate program with Fuller Theological Seminary, USA. He graduated with Master of Arts in Biblical and Theological study in 2009. After a period of Pastoral ministry both in the US and Indonesia, he is called to teach as a part time lecturer in Universitas Pelita Harapan Surabaya, Universitas Ciputra, and Universitas Kristen Petra mainly for the subjects of Biblical, Philosophy, and Entrepreneurship. He is often invited to speak in seminars, schools and in churches on the subjects of education, leadership, and thoughts in Christian Worldview. On July 2012, he was appointed to the office of Vice President of Student Affairs and Spiritual Formation which is in charge of Student Service, Spiritual Formation, and Student Recruitment.
